Rates of Use Caustic Soda Pearl is 99.9% sodium hydroxide and should be added to water to give a final concentration as caustic of 2%. Therefore 2 kg of pearl caustic per hl of water is required. Where hardness of water is greater than 200 mg/litre as CaCO3, an additional sequestrant may be required to provide the necessary sequestering power such as Murphy Sequestrant Additive, please ask our sales team for more information regarding this product or if you are interested in having your water hardness tested.
