Caustic Soda Liquor 100 Tw (47%) Membrane Grade

Caustic Soda Liquor 100 Tw is suitable for stainless steel and can be used at high temperatures (max temp being 80C). This product is ideal for the removal of protein, dextrin, gum cellulose, hemicelluloses, mucilage, pectin, tannin, and mineral salt deposition and scaling. It is designed for use on the mash tun, mash boiler, decoction vessel, cereal cookers, mash filters, boiling kettles, hops strainer and suitable other areas. Its strong alkalinity dissolves stubborn grime and organic build up on wine and cidermaking equipment, barrels, and tanks, which helps prevent contamination and maintain product purity. Rates of Use: Caustic Soda Liquor 100 Tw is 47% sodium hydroxide and should be added to water to give a final concentration as caustic of 2%. Therefore 3 to 6 litres of Caustic Soda Liquor 100 Tw per hl of water is required. Where the hardness of water is greater than 200 mg/litre as CaCO3, an additional sequestrant may be required to provide the necessary sequestering power such as Sequestrant Additive.
