Metabs prevents biological spoilage and microorganisms from growing and reproducing. It's antioxidant properties increase the stability and prolongs the shelf life of the beer.
Metabs can be used for the removal of free chlorine in tap water which can cause chlorophenolic off flavours in beer
You can also use metabs to maintain freshness in casks, when stored empty.
