A liquid silica sol containing 30% silicic acid is particularly well adapted to treat wines, which are difficult to clarify, wines rich in mucilages and colloids (Botrytis cenerea in particular).
Aqueous suspension of negatively charged silica particles which act as a bonding agent for difficult clarification. It compacts the lees resulting from finings and prevent over-fining improving the filterability of wines and suppresses the bitterness due to an excess of tannins.
